East Village

East Village

East Village serves as the east entrance to downtown via Fremont Street and is the former core of downtown Las Vegas. The area is yet to be fully redeveloped, but future plans include converting many existing small motels into larger mixed-use projects, particularly given the vibrancy of the Fremont East Entertainment District and the newly opened developments of Downtown Project, which include Container Park and The Learning Village. One of the more colorful venues in this area is the Hydrant Club, a members-only private park where people can exercise and play with their dogs amid a grass- and tree-covered oasis marked by an almost 15-foot-high, bright yellow fire hydrant.
